you stupid beautiful idiot
I have been eager to graduate since our eighth grade year began. I just wanted to get high school over with and I hadn’t even been there yet. Everyone I talked to said not to rush it and to enjoy it while it lasts. I waved off their words, and now, what seems like not too much later, I’m standing here about to receive my diploma. High school really did fly past.
You can never really predict what’s going to come next in your life. You can plan and schedule, but that doesn’t mean that everything is going to happen the way you want it to. For those of you who know me best, that’s a huge thing with me. In the midst of all your planning, don’t forget to cherish the moment. Take all the opportunitied that you have before they’re gone. You never know what’s going to happen next.
A teacher told me that at the end of the day, you should always be able to name off five things that happened that day that were good….
In the words of a song by All Time Low, “I’m just a moment, so don’t let me pass you by.”
There’s still a voice in the back of my mind that is whispering, “Keep fighting.”
Today I decided what my graduation speech will be about. It might be a tear jerker, but it’s not meant to be that way. I’m aiming for that whole motivational, better-your-life kind of speech.
